At least the Giants won today.

Rubio going INSANE in the garden right now!!!!

Knicks fans, your team let Ricky Rubio look like the Spanish Michael Jordan today?

On this vaunted Knicks defense Rubio had a career high 37 points and was damn near perfect from the three point line.

The Knicks defense looked like a turnstile today as the Cleveland Cavaliers abused them after the Knicks beat a short handed Bucks team in Milwaukee the other day.

The Knicks are too inconsistent to ever be taken seriously as a contender. I know that hurts the heart of many but when you allow Cleveland to run you out of your own building on a Sunday afternoon you can't think you are ready to compete for any kind of title.

Tomorrow you get Philadelphia and God help you because Embiid is going to have a field day with this softer version of the Knicks.

This team fell for the Jedi mind trick that convinced them of having the talent to out score anyone and not continue to focus on defense.

No guys, this ain't that team. When the defense is as pathetic from start to finish as they were today you still have a number of years of rebuilding ahead of you.

At least the Giants won today.

I hope you are happy now

Again the second unit played hard, swung the ball, made shots and played defense including the rookie Harrelson.

Unfortunately for the Knicks the other rookie was in the starting unit and instead of competing against the Grizzlies he decided to compete with Carmelo Anthony for the most jacked up shot attempts.

But you know what I don't blame the other rookie, he  wasn't a consistent shooter in college so there was no reason to believe he would be one in the pros. No, I blame Mike D'Antoni who has allowed the other rookie to play this way. Mike needs his ass kicked on the way out the door and immediately.

With Carmelo Anthony's selfish brand of basketball, which is why the Knicks will never win while he is in a Knicks jersey, and Mike's tomfoolery of a system the Knicks will continue to be a joke and a first round playoff bust.

To all you asses in the media who demanded the trade for Anthony no matter what it took well you fuckers fished your wish. I hope you are happy now.

Let the booing continue.

Last night the Knicks lost to a team named after a cub scout badge. The Charlotte Bobcats, after losing to Cleveland the night before, knew they'd have easy pickin's when they came into the Garden.

Despite the fact that Boris Diaw looks as if he ate his way through Europe during the lockout he was swift and motivated enough to look like Olajuwon as he dusted Amare Stoudamire on the way to a win last night.

It looks as if this team goes on the court and waits for the superstar fairy dust to kick in and then are surprised that other teams dare make shots against them. Well guys get used to it because you haven't done a damn thing to earn anyone's respect. Not from other teams and certainly not from your fans.

Hey, Mike Woodson, would you mind telling the players that they need to box the hell out when a shoot goes in the air?

Right now, I'd take Nate Robinson over Landry Fields and Toney Douglas put together.

Let the booing continue.

It's Time To Move On!

So not only did Toney Douglas forget how the Knicks played the other night against the Kings but he also forgot the play out of a time out with 17 seconds seconds left and was out of position which forced Carmelo to throw up a bad shot.

It is time for the experiment to be over and find out what trade value is in both Toney Douglas and Landry Fields. Really.

Toney Douglas ain't no point guard, he's an enabler

How was it possible to give up 30 points in the paint in the first half and allow the Lakers to shoot 72% from the floor with the "best front court" in the NBA and a newly hired defensive coach? Unfuckingbelievable.

I won't even get into how the play from the point and two guard positions ain't worth a box of grits. Well, I guess I just did didn't I?!? Since I'm there Toney Douglas simply doesn't have the balls to take command of this offensive, pass the ball to the open man whomever that might be and demand that Carmelo and Amare rotate the ball and cut to the basket if they want shots. Until that happens he ain't no point guard he's an enabler.

ENABLER: One who enables another to persist in self-destructive behavior by providing excuses or making it possible to avoid the consequences of such behavior.

When Amare and Melo simply go about freelancing and jacking up wild shots that is self-destructive behavior Douglas is allowing.

I wish D'Antoni had allowed Amare and Melo to stay on the bench in the second quarter and ride out the hustling defensive and excellent ball movement from the "second unit". Maybe their example would have sparked something. But hey I ain't the coach and from the looks of this team, neither is Mike D'Antoni.

There is no excuse for losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers

Well fans, you wanted Carmelo Anthony at all costs and now you have him but you won't be happy.

There is no excuse you can bring up about a lack of practices and not knowing the system to blame for Carmelo's follies tonight.

Missing a key free throw and fouling out after this miss is a prelude of things to come.

Was it time to break up the Knicks team that began the year? Yes.

Was it time for more dynamic players that could threaten Orlando and Chicago in the playoffs? Of course.

If you have been reading this blog regularly you know that Mr. Anthony was not my first choice. I was hoping that Donnie Walsh would try to make deals for Marc Gasol and Andre Iguodala but that wasn't what Isiah Thomas by way of Jim Dolan wanted.

Donnie Walsh, after learning that Deron Williams was on the market, was visibly upset in interviews after realizing that the best player available slipped under the radar. Donnie knows that Deron Williams would have been a much better fit for this team than Marshmellow Anthony.

Get used to this Knicks fans, you have six years of watching your team lose like this. And now you have proof that they did indeed give up too much to acquire Anthony.

Excuse me while I fire up the Denver McNuggets game for some real NBA entertainment.
