There is no excuse for losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers

Well fans, you wanted Carmelo Anthony at all costs and now you have him but you won't be happy.

There is no excuse you can bring up about a lack of practices and not knowing the system to blame for Carmelo's follies tonight.

Missing a key free throw and fouling out after this miss is a prelude of things to come.

Was it time to break up the Knicks team that began the year? Yes.

Was it time for more dynamic players that could threaten Orlando and Chicago in the playoffs? Of course.

If you have been reading this blog regularly you know that Mr. Anthony was not my first choice. I was hoping that Donnie Walsh would try to make deals for Marc Gasol and Andre Iguodala but that wasn't what Isiah Thomas by way of Jim Dolan wanted.

Donnie Walsh, after learning that Deron Williams was on the market, was visibly upset in interviews after realizing that the best player available slipped under the radar. Donnie knows that Deron Williams would have been a much better fit for this team than Marshmellow Anthony.

Get used to this Knicks fans, you have six years of watching your team lose like this. And now you have proof that they did indeed give up too much to acquire Anthony.

Excuse me while I fire up the Denver McNuggets game for some real NBA entertainment.

The Knicks lose again: Cleveland 115 - Knicks 109

He will be the most important Knick of the 21st century

Well, it finally happened. The Knicks have gotten their "second star" in tonight's trade to the Denver Nuggets.

The Knicks sent Felton, Gallinari, Chandler and Mozgov to Denver in exchange for Carmelo Anthony, Renaldo Balkman, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Chauncey Billups.

Listening to the talk shows everyone seems to be extremely excited about Carmelo joining the team and inexplicably giddy about a middle aged arthritic knee dragging Chauncey Billups. Ok, whatever. But I am happy for two different reasons.

The first reason I will be able to sleep tonight is because my favorite young Knick, the man I have named the next Scottie Pippen is still here, that young man is Landry Fields.

Second, the most important acquisition of the evening slipped under the radar and was left out of most of the dialogue tonight.

Donnie Walsh sent Eddie Curry's expiring contract and Randolph to the Timberwolves for Corey Brewer who in my opinion will turn out to be the best player acquired by Donnie Walsh when we all look back on his legacy years from now.

Corey Brewer is Carmelo Anthony with a handle and hops. He can play either guard position at 6'9" and small forward. He has a good jump shot and is hellacious going to the hoop. Corey Brewer will become a star on this team and in D'Antoni's system. He will be the most important Knick of the 21st century.

Fuck the Knicks

The Knicks lost again yada yada.

As you can tell I haven't written a post for this blog since January 22, 2011. Tonight's lost to a team (the Clippers) that previously only won three road games is why. I am utterly sick of this franchise.

I am sick of this sorry roster, I am sick of the dumb players, I am sick of the pathetic excuse for both coaching and ownership.

I am officially through as a Knick fan as of tonight. I don't give a shit if they get Kobe and Carmelo. As long as Dolan is the owner (with Isiah lurking in the shadows) and D'Antoni is the coach I will not be watching anymore games, spending anymore money at the Garden or posting anymore to this blog. I am DONE. Fuck the Knicks.

I will get back into basketball when the Nets move to Brooklyn and change the team name and logo.  I am DONE.

Good luck.
